Aeryn Sun – Farscape; Vala Mal Doran – Stargate: SG-1
Claudia Black steamed up the TV for several years on both Farscape and Stargate SG-1. On Farscape, we it turns out Aeryn Sun has been pregnant for a while but put the baby in stasis so she could still soldier and be a badass. And talk about issues–Aern’s father was executed by his wife so that Aeryn could live. After letting the baby grow inside a helium farting alien for a while, Aeryn eventually gives birth to the child.
On Stargate, Vala gives birth (after a miraculous conception) to Adria (played by the awesome Morena Baccarin), the genetically advanced and massively powerful Orici who goes on to make their lives hell. Claudia deserves a break from TV motherhood, if you ask me.
